Another concurrent: Evolution

The other well known mail client in the inu Gnome world id Evolution, the free work suite solution for entreprise.

The soft is very powerfull and well featured, but a little bit too slow for my poor Celeron M 900MHz on my EeePC 900 !

So, even if it's the best and well integrated mail client in the gnome desktop, well, I can't use it in battery mode, while the processor economy mode is "on demand" mode.

Mozilla Thunderbird

And now, I'm trying to use the Thunderbid client. And I have to tell you that it's really better !
A real WYSIWYG editor to be able to edit your message as you want.

Inserting images where you want, as you want ;) and you can see it !

I think I'll adopt this client. And I can specify the path of the mail database.

Get it !  Adopt It !

Sylpheed Claws Mails

Claws is a small mail cient, with small but VERY fast capacities.
Editing mail is only in text mode, no HTML :(

But it's a part of the speed capacity of this tool. You can only attached file to the post but can't add inline an image.

so, let's try on Thunderbird.

Sylpheed Claws vs. Mozilla Thunderbird on Ubuntu-eee

To be able to post correctly to my favorit blog, I need a real, fast, and light mail client. I would like to add some pictures to my post, asking how to do to posterous support (Thanks Gavin and Sachin !) they told me that I've just hve to use a standard mail client.

I've another prerequisite about the power of a simple netbook: I need to setup manualy the path where the mail base is stored on my computer: like a SDHC card!

The two next posts will be sent from Sylpheed Claws and Thunderbird to compare results.

Thanks to Sachin answering more fast than light and thunder when help is needed !

I've just discover the Tags possibility from post through mail via the "((tags1, tag2, tag3)) possibility.

I need a post to celebrate this innovation !

Posterous is the more innovative blog platform I've seen...
